This is a really spectacular American Bowie knife.  It's stamped H. Wilkinson -Hartford, Ct. on both sides of it's double edged 8" blade. The blade is razor sharp and still retains it's original polish. Also, the blade has a spanish notch on both sides.  The wooden handle is 5 1/4" and retains 98% of it's original finish.  The crossguard is very unique and quite attractive. The original sccabard is also in super condition.  American made Bowie Knives are very hard to find these days . I've had this one in my personal collections for years and it's time to pass it on.
This is the exact knife pictured on page 366 of The Bowie Knife book by Norm Flayderman.
