This is a very hard Colt to find.  These C.L. Dragoons  (Crocheron Light Dragoons) were originally issued to a Alabama militia named for him. They eventually were mustered into the Confederate service in Capt. Halloway's Co.  Most of the known C.L. Dragoon  Colt's have been found with 8" barrels where as this one has a 7 1/2" barrel.  Which makes this rare pistol even rarer. All the serial numbers match with the exception of the correct wedge which is unnumbered. The cylinder scene is only partially visible. These pistols were the last dragoons to be manufactured and the roll die's were getting pretty worn. The pistol retains a very pleasing blue-brown glass like patina.  A super rare pistol !!!
