Rev.War 2nd Mdl. Brown Bess
Rev.War 2nd Mdl. Brown Bess

British 2nd mdl. Brown Bess that shows signs of being a American captured musket. Such as a sighting groove cut into the barrel tang and a squire head (hand made) nail design on the left and right buttstocks. The Tower lock has a good  broad arrow by it's GR Crown and the early trefoil frizzen spring  . The 41 7/8" barrel has developed a attractive crusty black patina. Overall the musket has a wonderful untouched even look. This is a early 2nd mdl. Brown Bess musket that would have been used here in America from the beginning of the War. Sold
