S & W American 1st Mdl.
S & W American 1st Mdl.

There were a 1000 of these S & W American's sent to the the U.S govt. in 1871 in hopes of landing a contract. They saw some very heavy western use and if you're lucky enough  to find one it's usually pretty beat up but not this one.  It still retains a good amount (40-50%) of it's original factory blue finish . The 8" barrel exhibits a clear U.S. on it's top flat.  The action is good and locks up tight when you cock it. The bore has good rifling and is still shiney.  The pistol is serial # 1837 and is listed in the 1871 ordinance records as a U.S  The grips are serial #1767 and is also listed in the ordinance records as  a U.S, so we know it's a campfire switch. A copy of the U.S ordinance records will come with the pistol. A very hard gun to acquire in this fine a condition.

Price: $6,500.00
