Colt 'Paterson' Belt Model
Colt 'Paterson' Belt Model

This Colt Paterson Belt Model  is one of the first Colt's Paterson pistol's manufactured serial # 72.  It has all matching serial numbers and the action is smooth and crisp. It has the early features of  flared barrel lug, flared grips and straight back cylinder. The bore on the 5 3/8" barrel still has a shine to it with very good 11 groove rifling. The grips are equally nice with a beautiful patina. The cylinder exhibits the early Centaur scene and is fully visible but hard to capture with my camera. There's still some patch's of factory blue finish on the barrel underneath a frosty patina. Also, there's a hint of case color on the hammer. This pistol is featured in the TGCA fall 2008 journal "A Gathering of Patersons" which will come with the gun.
