This little gem was formerly in the Jeff Horn Collection of fine Colts. This is a fairly rare pistol as Colt only manufactured 2000 between 1873 & 1875.  This one is factory engraved and has the E by it's matching serial numbers. The engraving is of the vine and scroll pattern that was prevalent in the late percussion and early cartridge era. I don't believe I've ever seen another one of these that was factory engraved. The grips are special order Burl and retain 98% of their original factory finish. The cylinder scene is 99-100% visible. It's one of the best I've ever seen, even the cloud formations are still present. The barrel and cylinder retain about 50% factory blue with the remainder blending to a attractive blue brown patina. The frame exhibits 50-60% vivid case colors as does the hammer. The factory engraving is as crisp and sharp as the day it left the factory. A very attractive Colt worthy of a advanced Colt Collection.
