This pistol is a very attractive early production arm with the desirable one piece checkered rosewood grips which are in super condition. These were only available for the first couple of years of production. The serial numbers (15611) are all matching and would make this a 1879 produced pistol. As you can see in the pictures it still retains a generous amount of it's original case colors and factory blue. The barrel blue is turning to a deep blue brown. The bore is beautiful and the interior of the cylinders retain all their factory blue so this may be a unfired piece. The action is factory smooth. Early Lightning's from the 1870's are rarely found in this nice a condition.
