This beautiful little pistol was formerly in the late Elliott Burka’s collection.  It’s a very rare pistol of which less than 200 were mfg.d’ between 1860 and 1863. Today there are less than 40 known to exist. These Parlor pistols fired a .17 cal. shotgun pellet with the only propellant being the percussion cap. This pistol is the early prototype model with the short breech locking lever which doesn’t provide a cover for the percussion cap. The pistol still exhibits some of it’s original silver finish in it’s recess’. Overall the pistol has taken on a warm mustard color patina.
