This is a pretty attractive British outfit by Deane, Adams and Deane.  These double action .44 cal pistols were first mfg.'d in 1851 and were in  direct competition with Colt.  They were used both in the Crimean War and the American Civil War. This pistol is in excellent + condition retaining about 95% original factory blue on it's barrel and frame with 90% on it's cylinder. The barrel is engraved on it's top flat Deane, Adams & Deane Makers (To HRH Prince Albert) 30 King William St. London Bridge. The frame is  engraved in a typical British pattern of the day and the right side also is engraved Adam's Patent No.4075(R) .  This Patent number is also on the cylinder. Serial number 1346 is stamped on the frame by the grip. The checkered grips are in great shape and there's a compartment in the butt for percussion caps.
The original factory oak case in in very good shape with it's original lining and label. The lid exhibits a couple of minor age cracks which are stable and don't detract from the appearance. The accessaries include it's original brass bullet mold which is stamped  54 on it's blue spruce cutter. Also, a scalloped brass flask, oiler, wiping rod with jag, mostly full Eley cap tin and 3 bullets.
Would fit equally well in either a Crimean War or American Civil War  collection.
