This is a typical Artillery model with mixed numbers some which are very early. The barrel is #241 with the proper A & P inspector marks which are outside of the ejector housing on the bottom of the barrel. This is only found on the earlist pistols. The serial number on the bottom of the butt is only partially visible but it has to be early as the A (Ainswoth) is visible on the top backstrap flat. The cylinder also has the proper A. The soldiers were allowed to buy there pistol at a discounted price when they left the service . Obviously, this was the case with this pistol has it has a good looking masonic symbol on it's left grip.  The bore is really nice with very good rifling and is still exhibits a nice shine. Also the action is good and locks up tight.
