This pistol is in very good shape and has all matching serial numbers with the exception of the wedge. The cylinder scene is pretty much gone with only remnants remaining.  All the factory stampings are still very sharp and clear.  Over all the pistol exhibits a rich blue-brown patina. The grips are super as you can see in the pictures. For years these 8"  dragoons were next to impossible to acquire.  However, this is the third one I've had in the past two years. Obviously,rare guns that were put away years ago are cycling out now and most likely will be put away again for a future generation.   A rare Colt in very good-fine condition worthy of being included in a high end Colt collection.
