This pistol is by British gunmaker W. Holden and dates from the 1750's. The engraving is really the work of a master as is the wood carving. The action works well on both half and full cock. With the exception of a couple of slivers of wood at the tip of the forestock the pistol is complete. The .65 cal 9" barrel has 2 early British proof marks and some nice engraving. I beleive it even retains the original ramrod. A good looking pistol that would have been used by an American or British Officer her during the F&I War and the American Revolution.
