A super rare French & Indian War British Horseman carbine.  This is only the third one of these I've seen and the first I've ever owned.  Please refer to pg.264 in "American Military Shoulder Arms" by Geo. Moller for similar carbine.  The gun itself is in really great shape as you can see in the pictures . The metal has taken on a beautiful brown patina over what looks like much of it's original brown finish.  The stock and metal look like they've been rubbed with linseed oil for many years which gives them a nice glass like finish as well as protecting the gun . The lock is dated 1762 and made by Edge. The only thing missing on the carbine is one of the feet is gone from the tre-foil frizzen spring.   A great gun which is perfect for any advanced French & Indian War or Rev.War collection .
